Carbs don't add up PenguinDman — Jun 10, 2018 09:11AM PDT

Hello, I'm doing a keto diet and my carb tracking is off. It says I eat 36g total carbs but my fiber (23g) + sugar (19g) add up to 42g and if I add up each meal it ends up being 24g of fiber and 20g of sugar. Why might this be?

Hey thanks for posting your question. The columns in your diary are totaled individually based on the amounts from the entries in that column only. So the total for Carbs will be the sum of what is showing under Carbs for each entry rather than the sum of the Fiber and Sugar columns.

Regarding the the 23g + 19g vs the 24g +20g that you came up with, this is the result of the decimal amounts that are not displayed in the diary. The entries retain the decimal amounts, even though they are not displayed, and then after adding them all together, the decimal amount is rounded for the amount given as the Total.

Warm Regards,
