Step calories greatly reduced since downloading IOS 11 ptinkle18 — Jun 21, 2018 09:45AM PDT
So I decided to finally download IOS 11 today, and I noticed on the app that something seemed "off" with my calories. I decided to check and make sure, and just as I feared, the step count was off by a huge amount. For example: today with IOS 11 installed, I burned around 260 calories after taking 12k steps, whereas yesterday on the old version of the app I burned around 570 cals with 11k steps. Is there any way to remedy this issue? I've resorted to deleting the steps and using an online calculator to do it manually but I don't want to do that every day.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. While investigating the recent issue we also discovered a separate rounding error in the calculation for the calorie burn for your iOS steps. As a result, your calorie burn from steps will be lower than previously calculated. However, your end of day projection and calorie adjustment should still be correct.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or feedback.

Bruce, the count was not correct at the end of the day, I looked at multiple apps and online calculators from reputable sources and myfitness pal was the only one that had the step count so low
