Recipe ingredients lindeloubugaboo — Jul 05, 2018 03:42PM PDT

Is there any way to make it so when I create a recipe, instead of looking for ingredients against the entire database, the search is done against a preset list?

For example, cream cheese. There are a lot of different varieties in the database, and sometimes when matching a new recipe, one is used that doesn't match the nutritional information of the one I commonly buy. If there is a way to make a set of ingredients that would be awesome. Thanks :)

Thank you for contacting us with your question. Although this is not currently a feature, we will definitely consider it for future updates.

In the meantime, you may replace matched ingredients during the creation process. You may also create the dish a a saved meal rather than a recipe, which would allow you to add ingredients to your diary from your Recent or My Foods list and then save them as a meal. Thank you for using MyFitnessPal and we wish you success with your weight and nutritional goals.

Kind regards,
