Exercise Calories not Showing in Food or Exercise Diary Mynx73 — Aug 08, 2018 02:33AM PDT

Recently (a couple of months now) the calories burned through exercise are no longer showing as a deficit in my food diary. I have read many other questions and posts on the same topic and have tried the following things:

* removed all sync’d devices and apps

* added back FitBit (sync’d with an Aria scale for weight tracking)

* Strava for exercise tracking.

Both Strava and Fitbit Strava is clearly syncing as my weight and exercise is showing up in my feed, eg. on Sunday my feed says “burned 992 calories doing 92 minutes of Running (jogging), 12 kph (5 min per km)” which aligns with my Strava activity.

The activity does not show in my food diary, under exercise calories, or my exercise diary.

In terms of preferences and settings I have the following options:

Connected Apps & Devices : FitBit Tracker and Strava
Steps : Fitbit Tracker - I don’t wear a Fitbit, I have a Garmin Fenix 5s that syncs to Garmin Connect > Strava

ok - very bizarre. I think this has something to do with regional / timezone settings. I am located in Australia, recently having spent some time in the US. Effectively when I exercise in my local Australian time zone it’s not able to reconcile that as my regional settings were set to US - meaning I was exercising in the future ... I have since changed my regional settings. Unsure it that’s the issue or this other strange one - I always use the app, almost never the website, however when raising this ticket I viewed my diary on the website and I noticed my activities were showing in my diary but on the day prior to when it actually took place - potentially why it wasn’t syncing as it was considered retrospective?

Very strange...

This is almost always due to a timezone in MyFitnessPal or a connected app being set differently to that of where the user is.

After looking into the status of your account, we do not see a Garmin connected to your account. Please ensure this is connected. Can you double check your Garmin timezone as well to be sure this is set to Australia?
