I have linked myfitnesspal with my samsung health app but I can't get them to sync the steps so that it will shop up on myfitnesspal step count. How do I get the steps to sho up on myfitnesspal so that it will automatically adjust my cal count?

We’re sorry for any inconvenience you’ve come across with S Health syncing data to MyFitnessPal. Would you mind unlinking S Health, uninstalling and reinstalling our program, then relinking S Health to see if that helps? Following these steps in this order should reset the connection.

Please make sure you know your username and password before reinstalling the app. Also, please note that any information that has not previously synced will be lost. Please make sure your information is found online at (sign in with the same username and password as the app). If you are seeing your information online, it will sync back to the app.

Here’s what you need to do to uninstall and reinstall the app:

- First, you need to try to sync the app to make sure you data has been backed up. Open the app and login. Then at the bottom of the menu on the left, tap the “Sync” option. If the app reports it has not synced recently, tap the Sync item to force a sync. Make sure that your phone is connected to the internet when you are trying to sync. If you are not able to get the app to completely sync, then unfortunately, when you uninstall the app you will lose any changes that you have not synced.

- Next, remove the app by closing the app, then going to Settings, then Applications, then Manage Applications. Find the MyFitnessPal app and tap on it, then tap the Uninstall button.

- Once the app has been uninstalled, open Google Play (formerly the Android Market) and search for “myfitnesspal”, then reinstall the app.

- Finally, once the app has been reinstalled, open the app and login using the same username and login you had been using previously. All of the data for your account will be synced from our website back to your phone.

We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other issues or questions.
Warm Regards,
MyFitnessPal Staff
