my fitness pal not connecting to samsung health cuttsy57 — Oct 11, 2018 10:10PM PDT

I recently changed phones (from motorola to samsung) and now my fitness pal refuses to connect with samsung health. I can go to apps and devices and ask it to connect to samsung health but it is never listed as connected. On my previous phone they connected right away (I used my fitness pal to add food to samsung health) and my fitness pal is connected to my samsung gear fit 2 (the food I added comes up on the gear fit 2). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my fitness pal but no luck. At this point I have no clue what to do.

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I am unable to uninstall samsung health. It came preinstalled on the phone and it doesnt give an option to uninstall. I tried uninstalling myfitnesspal but this does not solve the problem.

Thanks for getting back to us. Can you let me know what happens when you tap Connect for Samsung Health under Apps & Devices in MyFitnessPal? Is it non responsive? Does it take you through the process and never ends up showing as connected?

When I tap connect a window appears with a switch that turns green and says on and at the bottom I can say click cancel or done. With the swtich on, I click done and the window closes but nothing seems to happen (stays on the samsung health - connect page) and if I go back and check connected, there is nothing there.

Can you return to Samsung Health under Apps & Devices, tap Connect, and then scroll down on that window that appears to turn on the other options listed there? Unfortunately that window doesn’t show that there are more items below to turn On, but once you do it should show as Connected.

Hi, I cant scroll down the window. At the top it has the switch, then a pic of the two icons of samsung health and my fitness pal, then it says: "Allow this app to read and write samsung health data. Samsung isnt responsible for third party services that we share data with. To change your data permissions, go to settings> data permission in samsung health. Your device ID is included in the data thats shared with third party services."
Below this it has cancel or done. There is nothing more.
