Fitbit and MFP data don't match rahpost — Jan 07, 2019 12:05PM PST

My Fitbit and MFP are linked, and data like my meals and water are syncing properly. However, the steps in MFP do not match the steps in my Fitbit data (Fitbit is selected as the step source) and the workout from my Fitbit (recorded in Fitbit this morning before I linked accounts) is not showing up in MFP and therefore throwing off my calories. I am new to MFP and linked for the first time today. I followed all the steps to disconnect and then reconnect the apps, and the same incorrect step data and missing exercise data are still a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting and sorry for any trouble. While Fitbit sends us your total calorie burn, which will include any workouts logged there, you will not see individual line items for those in your MyFitnessPal Diary.

AS far as the steps not matching, we were having some sync issues this morning, however, we are showing signs of recovery. Please follow up with us tomorrow if you are still not seeing up to date numbers when the apps sync. You may also try manually initiating a sync in the fitbit app, followed by tapping Sync at the bottom of the menu in MyFitnessPal to see if that forces them to update.

Warm Regards,
MyFitnessPal Staff
