FitBit won't connect suudad — Jan 08, 2019 09:57AM PST

I'd like to connect my Fitbit with my MyFitnessPal account but, whenever I try to do this (both in the apps and on the websites), I get the same error message which is:

"Another MyFitnessPal account has already been linked to this Fitbit account. Only one account may be linked at once."

I revoked access and tried everything and it seems like fitbit is connecting to an alternate account.

Can you help me fix this?

Hi there,

Would you please provide your fitbit ID# so we may try a search with that on our end? You are welcome to provide your ID# here, keep in mind that it is a public forum, however, if you would prefer to share it privately, please click here to reach us via email instead.

Steps to get user ID#
1. Log in at http://www.fitbit.com and click on your profile photo.
2. This will take you to your Fitbit.com Profile and now copy the URL from your browser’s address field and paste it in the email reply

Your fitbit ID will look something like this: www.fitbit.com/user/1234A

Kind regards,
Bruce

Thanks for getting back to us. I can see that that Fitbit account is linked to your MyFitnessPal account suudad. Can you set Fitbit as the Steps source and see if your data starts to sync by the end of the day? To do so, tap Steps>Fitbit under the Menu Bar or More tab.

All the best,

All I get when I go to "steps" is "Error occurred - We were unable to connect to the server to synchronize" and the choice to cancel

That error message is related to accounts linked to Samsung Health. We are still investigating the issue. In the meantime, I was able to update the steps source for the account to Fitbit. Please let us know if your Fitbit data does not start to sync by the end of the day.

You must have used your magic wand...it's now showing the info from my Fitbit within the exercise field of my daily diary. Thank you for your assistance.
