Garmin App Exercise waltonhky — Feb 15, 2019 09:15AM PST
I noticed that MyFitnessPal automatically adds any exercises from Garmin as well as calorie adjustment for steps. This is an issue, because it's counting the calories burned twice. E.g. I ran 5 miles, burned ~450 calories, added to exercise log. Then, app adds total steps taken for calorie adjustment ~1000 calories burned. These calories for steps are including the steps from the run. This should be adjusted.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. When an exercise is logged, your adjustment will modify itself so that your Calorie burn will not be double counted. You can view this on the adjustment details page.
Details about the calculation of any adjustment can be viewed by clicking the small “i” next to the adjustment in your Exercise Diary (on the full website), or by tapping the adjustment itself in the Exercise Diary of the MyFitnessPal on the apps (you may need to tap the adjustment in the diary and then again on the next page depending on your app version). If you do not see a line that says Garmin adjustment in the cardiovascular section, then there may be a problem with the sync. However, if you do see this line, then it should be syncing correctly, even if it says 0.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or feedback.
