Google Fit Activity Sync Stacking calorie counts instead of updating janiukjf — May 15, 2019 10:57AM PDT
It seems when I do any sort of activity that's not just walking, it completely messes up MyFitnessPal's syncing. I get multiple entries each with various calorie counts that are terribly inaccurate. I think Google Fit puts all activity calories into the Steps calorie count, but as the data appears in MFP, it shows each entry separately including the steps. So it's double or triple counted. For example, this morning I jogged down my street to catch the bus, and Google fit considered that a run. Now I have 5 entries in MFP, one for steps at 300 calories (probably accurate) and then 4 other entries for jogging each with crazy numbers as high as 150 calories. I lightly jogged down the street half a block. There's no way that's the correct calorie count. I think the Google Fit calorie sync needs some work. It's definitely broken.
