How do I edit or change the item found by a barcode scan?

If the food label and the item found by a barcode scan do not match, you can change the association of the barcode to the correct information. Once you've scanned the barcode, on the resulting food page, scroll to the bottom and tap "Not correct? Find a better match.".  Then, type the name of the food into the search box.

If the search reveals a better match, tap on it and add it to your diary. This will change the association of that barcode to the correct food, and the next time you scan that barcode, the correct food will appear.

Please note that only foods in our public database can be linked to barcodes. Private foods added via our mobile apps cannot be made scannable.

If there is not a correct match in our database, you may need to first actually edit the information in the database itself.
